What record did they claim from it? I can see a record for fastest pass, but setting a NADM record at a test n tune or a non NADM event is retarded. Dont get me wrong, you made a hell of a pass, and should shoot for banks fastest pass instead of just claiming fastest duramax pro truck. Records for a certain sanction body should only be allowed to be made at their events.

Thats why sled pulling seperates the men from the boys... Theres no setting records bull$hit, no renting private test n tunes with nobody there and standing behind those accomplishments, just good ol competition. Let the best man win that night... all this bs makes me glad i got out of drag racing... there might be arguing in sled pulling, but at least we dont claim stupid saction records that no one really cares about anyways.:roflmao: If you cant do it when it matters... you cant do it.:thumb:

Banks did it, and no one had a issue with it....Yep at a test and tune.

i see no problem with it then or now. a pass is a pass, as long as the SFI techs are there to witness and bless the runs..

But lets look at this problem NHRDA isent even a sanctioning body, there records holds no credible sanctioned support. So with that in mind are there records legit?

However NADM is a SFI sanctioning body, just like IHRA and NHRA......

NHRDA has no sanction.

Ahhh, as the world turns...

Congrats on the pass :thumb: Be it at a T&T with one guy in the stands or at a event in front of crowds of people, it doesn't change the fact the truck ran what it ran.

Congrats Wade. :thumb:

However, I'm another who doesn't agree with a race org doing favors for certain racers. They are supposed to be neutral.

You probably don't remember the DHRA. They died shortly after they started making up rules on the fly, and ignoring their own rules for certain racers. Whether it was that which killed them off or not, it's not a good idea.

Nor am I too hip-slick-and-cool with the way you tried to blackmail certain shops into sponsoring you.

Well whatever makes your feel goods feel better... i still think it should be done when it counts... maybe next year you can be congratulated for a record. For now, contratulations on a fast pass. On a side note, why does your sig say fastest duramax powered pro truck..? Am i missing something? Didnt banks still run faster... 2 years ago?

NADM is on the way out anyways... look at the hate threads about them, not paying people, not making promises. Its the same old $hit, a bunch of hard headed people ruined it. If it werent for sled pulling, it would already be gone.

So just because the NHRDA isn't an SFI approved sanctioning body, that means they can't have records? That's the most retarded argument I've heard. I would venture a guess that more diesel racers respect the NHRDA and their records more than they do the NADM's. Really, it's the racers that matter. If you don't have any racers, you have a dieing organization.

I don't agree with a record being set at a test and tune. I also think the fact the truck in question is sponsored by dieselmotorsports.us is a conflict of interest.

I will say congratulations on a quick pass.

Off topic - The NADM thing, I agree with Rob, if it wasn't for the sled pullers they wouldn't have much of an event. I applaud them for bringing an event into my area, but the race truck turnout has dwindled dramatically each year, especially in the higher classes. I don't know whats going on behind the scenes of the organization...that's not really my business.

Renting the track and having an official come out doesn't constitute a world record if it states right in the rules that it must be at an event... Period. This isn't the Guinness book or world records where your trying to see how many times you can spin on your head. I'll say it again the truck is fast no doubt. But what gets me is the one sided cheerleading that goes on for one truck. Conflict of interests hit the nail on the head. Correct me if I'm wrong but ever thread congratulating Rob on his record pass was by individuals stating that he broke a record at an NHRDA event... Operative word here being event.

If Banks did it 2yrs ago it was just them setting a record for the fastest Duramax, I don't think, and I could be wrong here, that they were claiming the fastest NADM Duramax. Setting a WORLD record is setting a record no matter where it's done as long as it verified, however that doesn't make it a sanctioned body record. To me this just seems like a reach to get NADM back into the spotlight... Looks to me as though it backfired.

Oh yea sledpulling is gay lol.
