well after a little over 500,000km of abuse the old girl decided she had enough. idaho robs max effort tune along with a bd supermax and countless time spent above 1600*F took its toll on the old girl. I cracked a piston last friday night (oct 11,2013) passing on the highway on the 4th to 5th shift she loose. blew the oil fill cap off and it must have blown the rear main seal out from all the crankcase pressure.

.20 thou over cast fingers pistons, 16.5:1 ish comp.
manley rods
new bearings throughout
ARP headstuds
boreing, decking and resurfacing of the heads
key the cam and crank.
my questions are, are main studs worth it? i know you need to linebore the mains if studding the bottom end. is there anything else im forgetting?
