Well I been thinking long and hard about this. But a buddy of mine on the forum is getting rid of his lift and it's going on my truck. Got any pros and cons?

what size lift?
cons:slower, less mpg, dont fit in most garages, older people have a hard time climbing into the truck, steering components wear faster.

pros: looks sweeeet, get all the ladies, ego boost, stare down people, softer smoother ride.

:D you can comb through the real pros and cons:rofl:

A bit off topic but what size wheels and tires are you running currently (width, backspace)? BTW your truck looks pretty bad ass from the pics you posted in that other thread. :thumb:

If you are comparing a leveled truck to one with a lift that provides decent geometry the leveled truck will wear stuff out faster. Since I have lifted my truck tierods last longer. Now bigger tires will always wear stuff out faster. Many people equate that to the lift but usually its just big heavy tires. That being said my truck has a 4" TC lift. I really like it, but I don't race my truck anymore, and I bought step bars to ease the woman's griping when getting in and out :D. One of the best mods I have done to my truck even though it is a very common one.

If it was me, I would do it. It will slow you down a little, but it will look awesome. ;) Your buddy doesn't have another lift he want's to give me does he?
