Seriously, exhaust fumes are caused by exhaust leaks or bad sliding rear window seals.

IIRC, bad smells can be directly linked to inoperative AUX plug ins

Mine used to stink at idle with the bent rod motor, but it smoked a lot when cold and had to raise RP at udle to keep it from hazing while warm

Mine stinks too. My brother followed me the other day and that's the first thing he said once we stopped. No haze at idle and runs great. Egr blocked and efi live.
