After working on today’s dodge, (Which had a total of 5 quarts of oil in it when I changed the oil lol) I spent some time on the 7.
Pulled the seats back out and started finishing up my sound mat project as it came in. The stuff I ordered this time was small sheets. I was originally upset when I removed it from the box. After a few sheets of it I was in love with how much easier it was to manage. This stuff is 80mil thick.
Pass side finished

Another layer down the trans tunnel
The headliner was falling in a few spots and I talked to a guy about fixing it so I pulled it out.
I ordered enough to have extra.
Worked on putting it back together and installed an amp install kit beneath the carpet while it was out.
Then it was on to the doors. I wish I had my new door panels in but I’ll just swap them later.
Also this truck is supposed to have power mirrors and someone had just cut the wires at the backs of the door panels when they put the race car tow mirrors on.
At this point pretty much every inch of sheet metal is covered in material.
I’m going to install my sub and amp before I put the passenger seat in. But here’s a mostly assembled interior shot.
I drove it to town to eat dinner. It has about 40-50% less noise in the cab. I’m happy. It won’t ever be as quiet as my l5p though
