Made a little progress. I was able to get the inner fenders out and just see how the intercooler will fit. I know there will be more work to actually make it fit on the 2500HD chassis but happy to know the hood would close if I kept the clearance the same. Long road ahead.

Question for ya WisconsinHick1: Are those McGaughys front drop leaf hangers.? I thought  I had read the Caltracs would not work with them and it appears they do.

They will work with McGaughy's, but they will not work with DJM.

Also received a few motor goodies this week! Valley CP3 will no longer be there and both pumps will be up top in front.

Making a little more progress. Testing out how it will be having a walk off front clip. :thumb:

Now to start cutting up the floor of the truck so it will fit over the transmission.

Made some more progress last weekend! Just need to clearance the transmission tunnel a little on the inside and give the firewall a little love tap so it doesn't hit the sensor!

I had to at least set the front clip on it to see how it would look. Yes its hung up on the transmission cooler a little up front that is holding it from sitting on the core support mounts.

Sunday I cut off the original cab mounts so after I get the transmission tunnel cleaned up I can set the cab on again and get my cab mounts welded in!

New brake master cylinder and hydrobooster that will bolt into the 57'!
1957_16.jpg

New windmill for the truck whenever its back up and running.

Two steps forward one step back. What I was originally planning on for body mounts won't work as I had hoped so time to rethink that part but I have ideas.

Made some more visible progress. I spend a lot of time on things people wont see until it's complete lol. But the front tilt clip is making progress. I ordered my struts for it to stand on its own. Then I just need to finish the install of my hood pins to lock it down.

Here are a few pictures. I had to clean it up and haul it to my buddies shop that has help me out a lot on my trucks and built this motor for his open house. In about 3 weeks it goes to the suspension shop to get back halfed, 4 linked, and narrowing the 11.5" rear end! I'm excited to see it go but not ready for it to leave yet!
