Not to hijack thread but I have a few questions myself. Answers could help OP too. Swapped my p/s pump for a reman Napa pump about 15k ago and it whined from first startup. Turning 35's with the 100+ degree heat wave hasn't helped and it's giving up. Plan to ditch the royal purple fluid for AC delco and run a trans cooler from Tognottis for now (plumb return line I'm guessing?). That's temporary, anyone have opinions on finding a NEW pump, no remans?

I've been buying used stock pumps .

I snapped the shaft on a reman napa pump in less than 1000 miles.

Yes large cooler on the return from the steering bot to pump.

I'm going to put an ac delco on my 6.0. I hate the steering setup on these trucks. All 3 of my gm heavy duty's have had power steering trouble. Got some extra time on my 03 lb7 with a flush but I'm not messing around with off brand pumps this time around.

I just put a 126k mile LMM pump on my truck and it works really well.

My LLY ate ps pumps until I went with a 6x10 trans cooler for it and it made a world of difference.

I put a factory GM cooler on my LMM and it still got hot towing or heat soaked in traffic.
I put a factory trans cooler off a half ton on and it doesn't even seem to get real warm let alone hot.
