I have a German Sheppard. She is a very cool dog. We are going to due some K9 training with her in the next month. The one problem is that she’s more stubborn and hard head then a donkey.

Be patient... We interprete the German breeds to be hard headed, they are very eager to please you and will try to do everything you ask of them and more.

Get a snack/treat food for the first few sessions in an effort to get her attention, willingly. Try not to lose your patience and jerk her around.

Consistancy, consistancy, consistancy. :D

ScH III is where you wanna go if you can invest the time $$$$..... no leash required PERIOD. That'll be ONE BAD ASS FAMILY PET if you can do it.

I have 3, I will post photos later. I have a Dutch Shepherd(4yo M), a German Shepherd/Sharpei (4yo F), and an English Pointer (3yo M). All rescue dogs. All make great security systems.

I agree that it does take a lot of time and patient. See know most commands. I can even point my figure at her and go BANG. She will then fall over and play dead. Her next trick is bark on command and bite on command. :D

Here are mine monsters!

The first pic is when my German Shepard was 5 weeks old.
The second picture is the most current, and she is 10 1/2 months old
The third picture is with our boxer.

My home security system. :D
Looks just like my cat, one of the six here. I had 3 dogs but two were taken by cancer a couple of years ago. My pure bread yellow lab's name was Samantha Ann Dweezel Dog. Hence the screen name Samdweezel05. She passed in 05'. Best dog there ever was. Some day I will feal right about getting another dog.

You forgot to mention the guard cat in the background:D

Yeah! If he had front claws our dogs would be all scratched up. He chases our boxer when he's pissed off at the world. Which seems like its every day. Our German is not scared of him, but the cat usually bites her on the ears if she gets to close. Keeps us all entertained.
