I must have been mistaken,I thought this was a site that helped people out.not criticized them because they can't afford the expensive pumps everybody else buys. It's a remanded pump by BWD. what's wrong with them? thanks for the help anyway

Sorry if it seems like we are coming down hard on you. But we are trying to help. There are parts a guy can cheap out on but some you don't want to. Sometimes a cheap fix will cost you more money and time in the future. The problem with using a low quality cp3 is if it fails it will take out your whole fuel system. Injectors and all. Bosch pumps may cost 1-200 more but you don't have these issues or worries. The reason they cost more is quality control and using better parts. Many if us learned the hard way on this and would hate to see it happen to you.

Honestly I had another local shop come to me a couple weeks ago fighting a no start on a lb7, they diagnosed it as a bad pump. Installed bwd pump, still no start. It wouldn't even draw fuel to its self, next pump they changed would draw fuel but wouldn't build any rail even with everything capped off. Finally they put a Bosch pump on it like I told them to and bam it ran.. 2 bad pumps out of the box from bwd..

Not trying to be an ass just trying to save you some time and effort. I will not install a bwd pump on a diesel period.

Doesn't sound like a bad price, you'll be thankful in the end.

Dealer exchange price was $645 when I did mine 2 years ago. ROCKAUTO has a BOSCH reman for $704 with a $200 core, or a brand new BOSCH CP3 for $797. SOCAL can get you one for about the same price when I checked last, is an actual BOSCH dealer, and is a site vendor. I needed mine in a hurry so I got the dealer to get me exchange price so I could get back on the road. And as others have said, we weren't trying to come down hard on you, we've just been there done that when trying to save a few bucks and seen how much more it ended up costing in the end.
