They are all the same I think. I put a modded lbz pump on my lb7 a while back with no issues. Unless the new pump came with a new nut, I can't remember, but I do not think it did.

It wants to start on the shaft but it seems to be a different thread or something.I don't want to cross thread it

Are the threads on the cp3 shaft dinged up at all? Maybe hit em with a small file of they are. Or if it's new send it back.

maybe thats your problem. the big chain parts stores dont always send out the best crap anymore, let alone good parts. you couldnt pay me enough to use a cp3 that wasnt from a bosch reseller or bosch approved shop. a cp3 is not a place to cut corners.

That doesn't make sense as to why the nut won't thread on.the threads look fine.

If the person before you damaged the threads on the cp3 and turned it in as a core. Then whoever rebuilds them for O'Reilly did not check for it. All the nuts are the same. So do the math.

Take your Orilley pump back.. Get a Bosch one period. The parts store ones are junk.

I must have been mistaken,I thought this was a site that helped people out.not criticized them because they can't afford the expensive pumps everybody else buys. It's a remanded pump by BWD. what's wrong with them? thanks for the help anyway

How much was the pump that you bought?

This site is very helpful, but these guys have seen to many times guys try and save money on injectors, pumps, tranny's builds ect. and it almost aways ends up costing alot more in the end than just doing it right the first time.:thumb:
