Ok got an unpdate for those interested. Lots has happened since last posting. As stated I was waiting on a pipe so I figured I would nock out some odds and ends. Well while moving the truck in my driveway, I blew a brake line:mad: Although I am really glad it happened were it did, it still sucked. I figured it would be easier to pull the bed and replace it and while I had it off I would take care of putting on the caltracs. Well brakes went well but damn those caltracs. They sucked big time. Those factory bushing are freakin in there and dont want out:eek: Nothing a torch didnt take car of though.
Heres a pic of them if anyone cares

Now on to the run stuff. Got the pipe in today and finished up the rest of the install. Took about ten minutes and was in business. I had already went over the whole kit like ten times and had flushed all the coolant and re-filled during the down time so I was ready to tear up the streets. Let me tell you, when I first heard the s475 spool my smile was from ear to ear:happy2:. Holy cow the thing freakin screams under there. It literaly sounds like a jet. It was turning heads all over the place and got a lot of thumbs up:thumb: I have never riden in another twin truck so I cant comare but have been around a few large singles and there is no comparison imo to the awesome noise these make. I let my father pilot the truck for a bit and blasted down the highway to fuel up and low and behold another silverado with the VortecMax badges wanted to play. I got off at my exit for fuel as did this other truck and caught a red light with two lanes:D My father took off pretty hard and as soon as it spooled the tires went up in smoke and the other truck pulled a littlle until my truck caught traction and when we went by him it was like he had hit reverse:spit:Lets just say he was highlly embarrased and wouldnt even roll down the window at the next light:angel: We were laughing so hard. Made all the waiting for the past 4 month worth waiting for. Im hitting around 45-48 total boost so far without any wastegate tuning wich I will do tomorrow. The tuning may need a few tweeks as welll but that is to be expected. The way it sites now the truck really hauls ass. I have not drivin it in 4 months so maybe that has something to do with it but I took a few people out and scared them for sure. It cleaned up a lot of the fuel I had and does a damn good job at it. I am really impressed with it to say the least. For those wondering, I put about 50 HARD miles on it tonight and the stainless hot pipe has not changed color one bit. Im wondering if it will but so far it is looking good in there, welll take a look and tell me what a think. Pics were taken a few minuted ago in the dark so I will get better

I would first like to thank Trent for building such a sweet kit:hug: Awesome job on it and couldnt be more happy with how everything came out and when we ran into a snag he bent over backward to make it right. Top notch guy in my book. Big thanks to my father for sticking with me the whole way and the support in this hobby. Big thanks to Tony for answering all my questions and helping me out with the tuning side of things. The best out there in my book as well. Big thanks to my buddies Mike, Doug, Andrew and Pat for the help with the install and eveything we have done to this truck.

Thanks for the comments guys! It is a very fun build to say the least. I do think its the way I took the pics on how the turbo sits to the firewall. Like Robs I have about the same clearance of the downpipe on the firewall. Fits like a glove in there! I really appreciate it Trent. Considering you just got home from vacation a few hours ago and you are out in your shop making up a new IC pipe is just awesome. No shop or company owner I know or ever dealt with would have customer service like that so its much appreciated:hug:

Trent was busy working on my truck the night before I know he was brat tired but he felt bad about the screw up and was dead set making it right for you!

Your truck looks great, hope u like the twins

Thanks guys. I really appreciate it it. It really feels like a whole different truck/Jet now:D. I am going to get in some serious trouble with this thing and you guys better invest stock in some tire companies because I will be going through them quick:thumb:. Simon, Im know for sure Trent was beat when he got home when he called me but it didnt stop him from making the pipe I needed and I cant thank him enough:hug: Im jealous he was working on your truck and not mine though:angel: I told him that its a good thing he lives so far away or else I would be trying to get him to wrench on my truck turn my truck into a nasty race machine:thumb: And yes I had my dad in the drivers seat the first time out and he is really impressed on how, in his words "this fat biatch" moves so fast. I tried to tell him these are "towing" twins but he thinks that the S475 is "the size of a washing machine" and will make quick work of my rods in no time:spit: Tony I appreciate it. Tell your son good luck at school and I will catch up with ya when you get back, and have a safe trip. I will be terrorizing the streets in CT in the mean time;) Ill get some videos for those interested later after work:happy2:

damn Kris thats a sweet looking rig you got. twins turned out awesome!!! Trent gave me a compressor regulator for the boost control...but im a slacker when it come to the little things and havent installed it yet. truthfuly i just dont know where i want to put it. anyways with my crack pipe barely open im seeing 50 #'s of boost. i still run around town with Trents tow tune (2400 pw) and it runs great. when i was in canada the truck was running awesome. i also ran a tune i have from Nick (2900 pw) in a dsp on top of Trents tow tune and it was a screamer. it was all i could do from not racing the truck heheheh

Thanks Rob. I knew I was forgetting to thank someone. Couldn't have gotten that down pipe off without your explanatio:hug:. I'm now wishing I didn't have the big head. The crack pipe thing Trent sends would be so easy. Now I have to play around with tightening the banks gate. What's the compressor regulator you have? I can't wait to tune this bad boy cuz it rips now so I can only imagine. You going to get some track times. With that bad boy rob!?

i bet you could trade that bighead for a stocker. id love to hit the track but usually work when there is a track day...plus this is my only vehiculer:eek:

the regulator is just one off an air compressor. it shall be mounted in the cab probably in the cubby hole in the dash.

Well You didnt over look it man. I didnt relocate the second battery yet. I am not so sure I am going to right now. I have one optima red top and it starts up just fine. I dont run it in the winter so Im not worried about cold start ups but it cranks just like it has two batteries right now:thumb:

I may just swap the stocker in for the wastegate. Not sure but would make adjusting a whole heck of a lot easier. And the reg. idea sure is a good one. Im going to talk to Trent about this cuz it sounds cool:D

Thanks buddy:hug: Im really liking them for sure. Im hitting a local car show tonight with them so well see what a bunch of muscle car guys think of them. They really do fit so nice in there and I cant even imagine the fabing them up on my own and having them come out this nice so my hats off to Trent for the great work:coolspot: And Im pretty sure my trucks already marked in a few towns including my own because of the terror Ive been raising. So maybe my next post will read "the cops didnt like the Jet sound coming from my truck so I got a ticket:eek:" or "Cops thought I was spooling for take off:rofl:" Videos will hopefully be coming tonight as I lay some rubber at this car show:thumb:

heres a few day pictures:
