Took my Daughter and my GF to my lease in GA last weekend for a few hunts. This was the first time my Daughter went with me. I was pretty excited to get her out there just to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors, and hopefully see some deer. I had my doubts about how much deer movement we would see due to the weather being a bit warm. But, I think the good lord knew how much it meant to me for her to see some deer. On our second hunt I had to sit with her in a Condo stand due too her inability to sit still at all in the open ( Typical 6 year old) At about 5pm we started seeing doe after doe and her eyes lit up like like light bulbs, she was so excited. One by one they walked by , a total of 8. So needles to say I thought our chances of catching a Buck trailing behind them were pretty good. At 540pm I caught some movement down in a Hardwwod Swamp Bottom, and sure enough saw horns. It was so thick down there I couldn't tell how big it was, but managed to count 4 on one side ( My own rules are 4 on one side for me to shoot) After watching this Buck for what seemed an eternity, Buck Fever started setting in and my adrenalin was making me start to shake a bit. Finally he started moving towards an opening for me to get a shot. With not much shooting light left, I finally got the shot. He ran about 50 yards. Here's a pic with her holding him! Was def the best hunt of my life!!
