I had it restored about 4 years ago took 7 months IIRC new rear quarter's, new front fender's, new vinyl top, new truck lid, and new hood. Door skins were saved and reworked a little. Obviously new paint, new correct SS stripping, new chrome pieces. It is still a work in progress
You wernt kidding. Thats a lot of work. I take it YearOne is your favorite store, or is OPD? Looks like you need the 1/4 window handles and the lock buttons.
Besides loving Oldsmobiles, I drove a 72 Monte Carlo for a few years after high school. Loved that car. Sold it to buy my Mustang in '85. Even though that Mustang was a joy to drive I now realize it was a stupid move. Chevys are easier and cheaper to build.
Ya, I heard that pic was taken a couple of weeks ago... :rofl:Sweet car man!! Is that you in the aveator?

Yup thats him. I could picture him in a lexus
I'm a huge fan of the Duramax, and you guys may laugh me off the board, but I just don't understand why people want to put any diesel in a classic car. It's cool and all, but I would much rather see a blown big block or something if someone is going to put a non-stock engine in something like that. Now putting a hot-rodded diesel in an old pickup, that's a whole other story.
Oh yeah, the car looks great, Nick. I love it. Makes me want to get to work restoring my dad's '66 Impala SS 396 4 speed car (factory air too ).
