So turns out the snap-on multimeter i was using was junk. Tried another multimeter a few days later and found it right away. Instrument cluster isn't powering down.Trans is fixed! But now i have a 14 amp parasitic drain that i can't find. Disconnected the starter, alternator, glow plug relay, pulled all the fuses for everything including all aftermarket accessories, disconnected the main fuse for the fuse box, used a thermal imager to check all the relays and fuses for heat and load tested the batteries. Oh and after all that now my gauges and front door switches don't work. So thats cool.
