Decided to rebuild my transmission before it let me sit, I had planned on having it done in a day but got sent the wrong parts it's it's on hold till next week. The trans has a precision ML and PPE stage 4 with 126,000 miles on them.

She's back. Shifts better in fast learn than it did with the trashed PPE stage 4 . New to me C2 drum, raybestos gpz torq kits in c1, c2 and C4 and a alto g3 power pack in c3. I kept the 107k mile precision ML converter since it was still holding strong. Hopefully that lasts awhile as I would be ok with never touching another Allison converter bolt for the rest of my life.

Those clutch pictures give me a decent idea of what mine probably look like.....if I ever want to tear the trans apart again.

Glad to hear you're back up and running. :thumb:

Started installing it last night (with help from my twin nephews ) after getting the install kit yesterday afternoon. I saved money buying used but 2 of the pedestal bolts holes were messed up and i had to helicoil them, the pedestal hit my intake clamshells and had to be ground down, the powdercoat is absolute trash, a bunch of pieces were missing, and the 2 piece downpipe is crimped up and wont slide together that was after driving a hr and a half one way twice and the guy forgot the intake pipe too so ill probably have to drive for it as well. Should have just bought new honestly...

Happy Halloween to me... What i thought was a transfer case leak escalated quickly. Didn't even get to drive it with the new turbo when i found a cracked extension housing. Really frustrating because the turbo install would have been alot easier with the trans out! Not sure what caused it as the ujoints are all good as near as i can tell and the truck rode great.

Finally got it all together today! Aaaand got hit with a stuck E shift valve so i haven't even driven it with the new turbo. I had quite a few transmission builds that paid better than fixing my own junk so its been sitting. Picked up a carbon fiber dipped HSP coolant tank local for $150 and i think im going to polish the compressor housing and get a HSP polished cp3 wheel to finish it out under the hood.

My "build" thread.

X2 I do really like that purple

I know the feeling. My truck must be thinking “Hey you know how I haven’t broke down on you in the past 13 years. Other then when you break me. Well that’s going to change now..”
Front diff and steering gear box are leaking like a sieve.
Excessive Pressure in the coolant system
I think the BCM is done for.

At least I can drive it if I have too. I think. It hasn’t been more then down the block in the past 9 months. I don’t even have a time line to get it fixed. This will be the first year in 13 my truck doesn’t take us on the family vacation.

Trans is fixed! But now i have a 14 amp parasitic drain that i can't find. Disconnected the starter, alternator, glow plug relay, pulled all the fuses for everything including all aftermarket accessories, disconnected the main fuse for the fuse box, used a thermal imager to check all the relays and fuses for heat and load tested the batteries. Oh and after all that now my gauges and front door switches don't work. So thats cool.
