Ok here's a question that came to my head. Can you run more than one gauge display off the OBD port? I know there are splitter cables available, but if a guy were to plug say... an edge evo and an aeroforce scan gauge into the splitter, into the OBD port... will both displays function correctly?

they should work fine. but just remember that boost readings will be a bit off. you would just need to program the truck first then plug in the the scan gauge.

That was my thinking as well. I just didn't know if there would be any interference or anything. Since it's one way communication I didn't think so, but not sure.

It wont work by simply splitting it.

If one is in communication the other will either wait or be garbage.

Areoforce make a cable that allows both to run. But the gauges have to be made for it as they take turns communicating.

if that's the case i would imagine the scan gauge would be the one that would be off.

See I thought it was more of a one way sort of thing, where there wasn't any communication, just more or less "observing". To where the signal can be sent to more than one place. But I've never done it so IDK.

I posted a similar ? in a banks/efi thread.

I think the banks 6gun is reading off the bale connectors under hood, because I plug into the obd port with efi and the 6gun still give me readings even tho its unplugged from the obd port. problem is when its unplugged from obd, it reverts to stock tune

So I wonder if I can get the obd splitter so the pda can stay plugged in and plug in scan tool with efi?

thats really nothing more than making a spliter....

What ever 2 items you have connected need to "Know" to work with each other to read. If there not setup to (which the edge and scangauge is not) it wont work. Like I said, if you buy 2 scangauges and split them it WILL NOT work. But if you pre order the 2 scangauges to be split, it will work, thats because the 2 gauges are built different to work simultaneously.
