LBZ: MPI Small Compound Kit

I recently bought one of the older MPI small kits that has had the wastegate deleted/ pipe capped off. I will be running this on my LBZ and would like to put a wastegate back on it. Can anyone provide a spec on what gate was on this kit or suggest one that would work?

I have two of these kits, one has a tial 36 or 38 mm? The other has a similar sized off brand I don’t remember the name I’d have to go look.

Why do you want the gate back in?

I’ve looked at the Tial 2 bolt flange 38mm and that’s the closest thing I could come up with. Any ideas on the springs I will need?

I tuned the truck this set up was on and I think the boost was a little too high without the wastegate. The smaller tune 600rwhp peaked at 50psi but the tune that made 724 was see boost pressures of 65+ psi.

I will be on stock fuel single cp3 and tune it to around 550-575. The truck I took them off of had dual fuelers ,injectors and built bottom end.

i have a brand new 38mm gate for sale. two bolt flange style. Turbosmart brand, ready to rock still in box. bought it for my compound setup but ended up not needing a gate at all

Save your money. You don't need a gate. It's just another thing to go wrong. Leave the plate tell you go big fuel.
