I know mine is not a regular LB7, but with my current tune I am averaging 20 or a tad better with mixed city/highway driving with some hard throttle thrown in. Worst tank so far was 13.2 and that was all around town driving like an animal, and then thrown in some trailer hauling. If I drive it conservatively towing it will get 16-16.5. I bumped the timing up with EFILIVE to about 5-7 degrees in the cruising RPM areas and it helped me about 2 MPG over the stock programming.

I get somewhere around 15 driving in town, and 18 or so on the highway. LB7s in general seem to get the best mileage at or below 2000rpm.

How do you know how to calculate from the dic or the pump? I corrected the dic in my efilive tune but the correction table runs out of range in the high pulse widths for a 500 HP tune.

I would feel that the dic would be way more accurate as it references all kinds of tables adjusting for temperature pressure and pulse width, but everyone always says the dic is really inaccurate and you can only tell by filling up at the pump. I would think the gas station pump woulld be more inaccurate.

From what I rember a long time ago when I used to keep track is that the dic would always be about 2.3mpg better than what I calculated from the gas station pump and miles traveled.

Filled up today and hand cal was 18.6 last tank was 19.2 hand calc. Those were a mix of freeway and town I usually hit around 21 on the freway trips and when it is mostly around town avrg depending on how I drive is 15-17 all hand calc. My dic verys anywere from 2-6 mpg off seems to be diff every time I fuel for some reason.

I average around 15 in the city, have seen just over 20 on the highway. Hand calculated, speedo is dead on, DIC use to tell me 2-3 more, now it reads lower than actual  with new tunes.

edit: oops, just saw you were asking about 4WDs. Oh well, something for comparison I guess.

In town 15-16,highway 17.5 -18.5 @70. Hand calc. Speedo is spot-on w/ GPS. It drops quickly above 70 w/ the twins, tho...
