I've seen 30 with 315/70-16's on a leveled 02 lb7 xcsb/4dr.
Ran over 1000 mile trip from Des Moines to Branson Mo, over to Topeka Ks, and back to DM with these 315's on stock wheels, and hand calculated at around 34 mpg. I used less than 2 tanks of fuel the whole trip. First tank had 836 miles on it..

When I got the truck it was tuned for a Mn DOT class 5 vehicle.

When I got it, it had rotella t6...and Allison Tranny fluid - got 17-19..maybe 21 on the hiway, on a good day.
I Amsoil'd EVERYTHING, and on fresh oil and tranny fluid..easily see 24-26 daily for about 12k till the oils start breaking in.

I currently run 33x12.5 Wild Country-MTX's on 17in steel wheels..and normal 2 lane hiways, and city...23-24 mpg.

Hiway(4 lane) - 26-28 :woott:

Amsoil oil - series 3000 5w-30 - added 3 mpg's
Amsoil Tranny fluid is the TES295 rated - added 5 mpgs
Amsoil 75-90 dif oil - added 2 mpgs

Amsoil made a huge difference in the operating cost of this truck.

I believe the tune is about a 80hp with Transmission assist braking..Don't quote me on that...

How do you set up a signature here...?? I have a few upgrades I'd like to list off.

That is nuts! No way does that amsoil make that big of a difference! If it does I'm switching everything tomorrow!

Haha yeah I kind of didn't believe that. No way just changing tranny oil gets you 5 more mpg.

That's all funny guys...ha ha:rofl:
but really..I been seeing 24 plus for the last 160,000 miles.

I honestly thought it was something to do with the DOT tune.

Since I've had the injectors replaced and been having dillution issues I haven't had it on the road to see what I get now.

I'll report back and let you know if it is holding there like it did before.

And Yes Sean I am...but I was recommended Amsoil through this site about 3 years ago from Mike L(the Tranny guy)..
..Been seeing fabulous numbers since the switch..

If there's a better Synthetic to run...by all means..I'm all ears!

I should note that when I went in and reset the tire size to the correct actual size...I only got 18.5 ish

but with it set R - 265/70-17
F - 245/75-17
The truck performs better, accelerates better and gets way better fuel mileage with the 33x12.5's.

This is just what I have been experiencing.

Now I'm not 100% sure about this but 90% sure lol, I've got an 8 inch lift on 35s and I'm pushing 25mpg on the highway if I take it easy, 04lb7, cold air intake and efi live Eco tune, had an mbrb muffler 3.5 turbo back, now it's straight piped tho so we'll see aha

Bullshit, not possible. Try hand calculating, you cannot go by the DIC display.

I get 19 mpg if i lay off it 17 if im little on it, all highway. Running 33s. I did notice i am about 300 rpms lower with the bigger tires on the highway. Being heavier tires but less rpms between the 2 my millage never dropped. It stayed the same.
The tuner and lift pump made the difference I was getting under 17 mpg regularly without them. Im also straight piped with an mbrp downpipe.
