MP1226XHD repair manual

Anyone know where I can get a repair/rebuild manual for the manual shift MP1226XHD?, and also how to ID the MP transfer cases, I have a junk yard find for my next project (installing a 6L90 in my #1 HMMWV) and am not SURE of its actual model, only what I was sold by the seller, I do not want to use the electric shift transfer case that came with the donor 6L90 and of course want to go through the manual shift case.

Also I am seeing kits for the "early" and "late" transfer cases, does anyone know the difference? seems without the original VIN there is no way to determine actual model as they were not marked like the NP units, so I am told...
