LML MP-8 really that bad?

I Just got my truck and it's still bone stock. I would like to get a tuner for it but I don't want to void my warranty just yet, is the MP-8 really that bad of a product if that's the only thing I do? Or does everyone not like it because its not a great product? Basically, I want better throttle response.

Most are going to tell you its a bad idea when you can get efi live and eliminate the need for the Mp-8

I understand your warranty concern but and the MP-8 leaves no trace but when it comes down to the dealer sending in the ecm/tcm info to gm corporate they will know you had a power assets, so either way you run the risk of warranty loss.

For the most part, they won't jack with you unless its a major trans or engine failure. If you blow either of those, its your fault anyway.

I've not heard good things about it. The Diablo Power Puck seems like a better product. I'm going to try one soon.

Let me know about the Diablo Puck. I havent heard or read anything special to make either the MP-8 or the Puck much better than the other...

Buy another ecm and use that one for tuning. Swap it back to stock when you need warranty work done. I work at a gm dealor and have a few guys doing that on the LMM motors.

hondarider did the dyno test comparing the MP-8 and Diablo's extreme power buck. the power puck was heads and tails above the MP. Mike L runs one and is quite happy with it. if you're going to do a pressure box do the Diablo IMO:happy2:

i have a mp-8 on m truck that i had stacked with quadzilla stealth and it worked awesome for mpg and throttle response. will sell it to you with the adjusting knob for 375 it is not on my truck due to new chip. everything work fine and is in good shape.

All u have to do it call em and send it in an they reprogram ir for your truck for free look it up I think it on there website don't remember but my buddy did it to his except he went the opposite imp to lb7
