Picked up a new DD today :D:D

Ive been looking for a simple street bike to cruise around on and keep the miles off and diesel out of the Dmax tank.... sick of dailying a Ford Explorer haha.

Been looking at 01-04 F4is, 600RRs, R6, or anything else that came along. Budget was about $3500.

This baby popped up on Craigslist this morning and I couldnt pass it up.

1999 Suzuki GS500E with just under 20k miles. Came with a bunch of extras like a helmet, jacket, some horrendous touring box on the back haha, and some other stuff. Bike was down once on a gravel road :)rolleyes:) which scraped up a sticker and a bar end, thats about it. Picked it up for $1350!!!

Gonna sell off the extra stuff and hopefully be into it about $1000 - jeez thats only 7 or 8 tanks of fuel!

Gonna take it in to dealer for a service later today, then get rid of those horrible mirrors and throw some bar ends on it, flush mount LEDs front and rear and of course put an HID in it :D

Anyway heres some pics.... what 2 wheelers are you guys cruisin around on?

been browsing and eyeing some bikes myself. Really should put the money towards an equivalent car instead though so I could use it in foul and cold weather and not just nice days. We'll see cause I've always wanted a bike and it's not macho to be logical is it? :p

Ive been very blessed with being able to own my own home.

Mitch.... I guess thats one nice thing about California.... almost year round riding :D

Now on the other hand - my parents were very against me getting a bike and they dont know yet... Ill cross that bridge when I come to it

A commuter car would have been a nice choice as well, but I justified this by it being something to do out on the weekend with friends as pleasure as well.

Crap.... Im already buying new parts and mods for it.... WHY IS EVERYTHING A MONEY PIT!

Bummer - Watch craigslist n stuff for deals - they pop up all the time and itd really save fuel costs! This thing cost me literally 10 tanks of diesel in my dmax. At a fillup every 4 days or so.... Ill have this thing paid for in a month!
