Don't forget the Loctite, I purchased a large bottle this time around as the majority of bolts and nuts from the factory have some sort of Loctite on them. ...:thumb:

Yeah, I loctited them all.

Also just so you know DO NOT put two bolts in the motor mounts, the upper one hit the bracket on the frame, I could have done some more grinding on the bolt but I said f it and put the mount with one bolt in. I'm not even fighting the passenger side, it's not broke either.

We just had an ace hardware open here so I'll check them out. I have the front end tore about half way down for the junkyard box and power steering pump and new idler.

I bought duralast arms, never do that.

Yeah I know, I tried a standard size bolt and it was too small and went the next size up and was too big, I'll take the old one with me tomorrow and find one.

Oh, OK. I got it now. I can't think of any sae bolts on these trucks. LOL

TX of course
Just clamp some vice grips on there....

One of these days I need to bolt my engine mounts together. Is there a right way to do it or just drill a hole through it and put a bolt in there?

I read one suggestion, freeze them or pack them in the snow prior, hardens the rubber making it easier to drill through the rubber portion. Placement of the bolts look at these pictures, post 38 has a tie link with a heim and rubber bushing instead of bolts..

I did mine in the middle on each end, won't work with two bolts. I staggered them in my LLY like mike pictured above, worked great, don't know wtf I was thinking when I did these, but I'm not taking it back out to change it until it blows up. I have 3 spares to get right though, lol.
