Well I finally have my driver side mount about toast, it's not slamming yet but it's flexing enough to make the downpipe loose and the exhaust rattle and it won't spin as easily.

As far as jacking up the motor and what not I got that part, but what's the best tools and the best way to change the mounts in the truck. I halfassed watched the dealer in butler Pa several years ago do the LLY after I broke a bunch of shit, but never watched what they used.

Not doing ma's because this motor shakes like hell for some reason, always has, going to go over kill like the black truck with two 3/4 bolts.

jack it up after you get the frame bolts out, I believe it is three 15mm bolts to the frame and four to the block. the frame bolts you can get from above with a long extension, wobbly sockets help. not sure the best way to get to the block, probably through the fender well.

I worked through the fender wells and used a flex head ratchet. Didn't have an impact at the time.

Remove the fender liners and front tires, I used a mechanical scissor jack with some wood blocks on the pan to push the motor up. Be sure and BLOCK the rear tires front and back as the park pawl and ebrake still allows the truck move.

Does the trans have to be unbolted?

You can remove the bolt that runs horizontal and drop the lower mount down. Gives you a little more room to remove the upper mount.

I just held the brakes in forward and reverse, motor slammed hard in reverse and flexed pretty good in forward, so both sides are toast, I have my birthday bash Saturday night and have to work for deadbeat Sunday night and Monday night, so I'll tackle it Tuesday night or Wednesday sometime.

Still need to order the mounts real quick.
