After reading this and other threads I'm really thinking about purchasing an af 6480 cam. Don't no yet, knowing my luck if I broke my crank I'd ruin some pistons. Hell my block is already .040 over so I'd probably have to find one or sleeve it,money either way. Anyways good luck with yours.

steve did you have the AF 6480 cam in the motor when the crank went?

Do really think if he had AF cam and publicly broke his crank it wouldn't already be the talk of the town.

Last motor was built before AF cams had really proven themselves. 6480AF will be going in with the rebuild. Hoping this rebuild will be in one piece for many trouble free miles.

Are you reusing your pistons and cutting reliefs or getting new ones?

Out and about
I have heard someone was making over 2,000 with a set. I hope to have mine running around April again.
I ran stock delipped pistons for the past 2 years and they still look great, just switching them for a little added peace of mind.

I figure if Brett can make 1700hp with them, they should be able to take anything I can dish out.

X2, Kinda been my point. No way your going to be as hard on them as Brett's been on them!:thumb:
