It's alive

I just came from the shop and it's running!!:) Its just a shame to spend that kind of maoney on something and it shoulds just like it did:baby: before you pulled it apart. Aleast there is no leaks or anything(mike had me scared). Now I just need to fab a 5" intake so the MAF is doing something and all will be good. I HOPE! Thanks Jeff

Truck is running

Hello Henry, I want to thank you again:hug: for posting pictures!!! I looked many times to get things correct. I have a Borg Warner S475 3" charger on it now. I mounted it up on a ATS ped. That I mod. to a T-4. It fits pretty good. I hope it works as good as it looks. I may try my Cheetah with a bigger wheel in it again if this turbo seems laggy. Thanks again Jeff

Your welcome Jeff, Need some pics to see how good it looks.I take it the s475 is close to a gt4202 or is it bigger? Glad all the pic's helped out.

So is a s400 closer to it ?

The S400 is just the base model number, You can get a S400 with dozens of wheel options. I think they range from 65mm-80mm compressor wheel options.

From what i remeber the GT4202 is a 74.4 comp wheel and the S475 is a 75mm wheel. The 400 series turbos are just cheaper and they are journal bearing and can be rebuilt easier.

I was looking at some cheaper option, But I think I might be better off staying with the gt4202 kit from PPE make it easier.

If you want a cheaper option just dont buy the GT4202R. Get the plain bearing version the GT4202. You can get them for 1200 less then the R. Rebuilds are way cheaper to. I have been running the plain bearing GT4202 and very happy with it.

I went with a 1.10 ar. I just need to get it done and start getting it dialed in. Jeff

Same as me Jeff....What did you use for the intake? Hose? I had to build a custom 4" downpipe too

biggest problom was the stupid oil return line. But im glad i changed it now as it leaves more room for other custom stuff:D

I still need to make the intake side from the airbox. Everything else is good. For now I just stuck the LBZ elbow into the front of the turbo. MAF seems to be reading for now. Jeff
