More LB7 Injector Questions - Stock, 30%, or 45%

Hey guys, I'm sure you all want to answer more questions about LB7 injectors, but although I was originally planning on running the stock injectors while I did the exhaust, s366 turbo and intake, the stock injectors had other ideas and gave up the ghost last week.

So now that I have to spend the money I was hoping to use on the other mods for injectors, is it wise to think about using 30% or 45% overs or stick with the stock sticks?

I currently have a PPE Hot +2 and would like to stick with that tuner for a while. I will go to EFI Live but it will likely be a year or so before I save up and do the mods I was originally planning.

Also, is it worth considering doing head studs while I am in there doing injectors, or is it likely the stock bolts and gaskets will hold to about 500hp. My original plans were to build a spare motor I have with studs, rods etc. then swap it in after I had all my turbo, intake, exhaust parts and what not.

Thanks in advance for your help, I have tried searching and didn't really come up with enough info to make a decision.

Edit: truck is not a daily driver, but is used for long trips and hauling a trailer.

Is it worth running them with EFI Live, probably no other mods for at least a year and then only the mods listed with a lift pump. I will be doing an AD165 at time of injectors.

Yes get Efi live and go 45 over. You will see a slight increase in mileage if you keep your foot out of it and give you room to grow in the future. Call Danville and ask for mark he will hook you up.

Call Brent at LDS.. ^ I did.. And don't regret it.. With the mods you have planned and listed, a built trans is about the first thing you need to to.. I bought 45% sticks from Brent, and retuned my efi live and I'm very very happy...

Thanks again brent

Built Trans will definitely be your first big mod, along with EFI live. If you don't have a built Trans I would stay stock injectors. A built Trans with EFI and a lift pump and you're making 500.

Thanks for the responses, I should have clarified, the transmission was the first item on my list with bigger injectors being quite a ways down the list, but the tranny has been bumped since I need to do the injectors to make the pickup functional until I save up again for a tranny.

So since the injectors are a must at this point should I stick with stock still or is it worth only doing it once and tuning them down so I don't have to do them again when I get the tranny and start getting up in power.

I guess my biggest problem is if I go back with stock injectors, I will likely only go with a built trans, intake, exhaust, lift pump and tuning until I need new injectors again since I don't want to drop another 3grand just to change things up.

If you wanna make 500 get stock injectors. If you wanna go bigger get 45's.
