Well, have tried everything and it still wont flash. Even put the MDI and Tech 2 both in it and tried to reflash using GM TIS2 to be certain it was restored to factory and had the latest factory software with no luck. I'm gonna swap in another 05 LLY ECM I have sitting here and go from there. Anyone run into this after removing a PPE or other programmer??
not yet but i will keep you posted. am waiting for the customer to send the PPE over he used to program it with last time. if no luck with that i'm going to swap ecms and go from there. He does have HIDs but they aren't on when i'm flashing it. Could items not powered up still cause interference??
well, did all the same things as other times ive tried it but i unplugged the brake controller, and pulled the fuses out of his HIDs. It let me pull the factory calibration just fine, built the dsp5 tune and it wouldnt let me full flash. Kept sayin no response from ECM. I then did something I've found worked on another 05 LLY. I did just a quick basic single tune, flashed it in, drove it to make sure it worked fine, then went back and full flashed the DSP5 in. works like a champ!!
Why would doing a regular flash of a single tune work and then seemingly "open the door" for a full flash?? I'm just glad it worked.
