More EFI LIVE issues,

Alright, so i had a problem last week connecting to a 06 LLY truck to flash in a dsp5 tune. Updated to the latest version from EFI Live's support forum and have had problems since. I got that 06 tuned, got my registry issue fixed and now i get this

error msg every time i try to read the factory file off this 05 LLY i'm working on currently.
Anyone got any ideas on how to correct this??

I'm not sure but some lly's uses lbz tunes is what I heard....

You might wanna switch it to lbz ecm..

Jus throwin ideas out there

Even if it does have the PPE still on it, EFILive should still be able to read it. I was thinking if someone flashed it with EFI and locked the ECM. Does it have any aftermarket electronics on it?

It has efi live with DSP5 with locked tunes and you wanna know how to unlock them? I have the special pass code.:thumb:

no it has nothing, I've installed the switch and now am trying to flash a dsp5 tune into it.

My first post may have been a bit confusing,, Last week i was having trouble communicating with a 06 LLY truck. Updated my EFI Live to the latest version and was able to successfully tune that truck. then i had registry issues, got those fixed and now this 05 LLY is giving me trouble. Says the ecm lock "re armed"??? thats a new error msg to me.
It does help racinmike77 though if you read the whole post before you comment.

Do you have to get the stock tune out, or can you get by with trying to do a full flash to get the DSP5 tune done?

I've got a stock 04 LLY tune saved on the laptop, would there be an issue using the 04 to build and flash in?? I'm open to try it. I have to do a full flash anyway for the dsp5 tune.

What aftermarket electronics are on the truck? - iPod adaptor, remote start etc, and are the doors on the truck closed? Plenty of aftermarket electronics are not programmed to listen to the silence commands on the data bus. If you have one of these they need to be disconnected to use a programmer. EFILive is programmed to not complete it's tasks if there is chatter because it could corrupt the ECM.

I'd also ask the owner of the truck (I'm guessing it's not you?) what fuses he had to pull to use the PPE before he sold it.
