I'm not trying to start a tuner war I'm posting this for a buddy of mine. He has an lbz just purchased a lift pump and had the trans built. He has narrowed it down to these two tuners. He is just looking for some opinions on these two tuners before he calls. Any help will be appreciated.

I'm in the same boat, trying to decide between the two. Bobo's tunes include TCM tuning for the same price as Moonshine's with just ECM I believe. But Moonshine offers free tuning upgrades if you add aftermarket turbos or bigger sticks. But Bobo will also do free upgrades if you buy the parts from him..

I have met a lot of people with moonshine tuning and they haven't had any complaints that I have heard of. Lots of people have his tuning and use the trucks for drag racing and sled pulling. I have driven and rode in 1 truck that was BOBO tuned and didn't see any problems with how it drove or performed on the streets.

Don't know anything about moonshine (unless in a jug:roflmao:)
But BobO tuned my Lbz in person and it ran Very well
He will be doing my Lmm very soon too

Flip a coin.

There wont be enough difference in the two to dwell on a decision with a lift pump and transmission. NOW if you had additional hard parts and could get someone to tune "live" then go with who is closets that you can get the truck to them or vice-versa or is the must convenient considerate and patient to deal with in emails!


Heads it's Tony, Tails it's BoBo who would want a clown tuning your truck anyway? :confused:

I run bobs tuning in my truck... just a built trans with a lift pump and some funny gas... made 607\1327 on the dyno with nitrous.. at byron dragway I ran 12.24 on fuel only and 11.64 on spray... stock engine from the factory... ya ill go with bobo anyday. May have to be patient to get them but well worth the wait. Good things come in time... look at it this way.... if a guy is always readily available he must not be to busy must not have that great of a product.. if it was he would have business out the door.. just saying. Look at it as if you were looking for a surgeon or a good specialist. Takes time to get in.

I also daily drive this truck and beat on it... I'm 23.. trust me I beat the hell out of It. Engine still lives no blow by or anything.

Bob is a very good tuner. He is a little different than most guys. He is selective about who he will tune for. You will be happy with his work.

I can't say anything for bobo but I had tonys tunes and on my stock charger it was insane I loved it and on a stock charger I wouldn't worry bout tcm tuning they r two of the original beta testers
