Monster trucks sled pulling!:coolspot: I wish i would have been born ten years sooner to see this stuff in person. There's even a diesel towards the end, Detroit perhaps?

Texas Y'all
Def a cool video. I wish i could have too. They used to do stuff besides just crush cars, maybe they should bring that back, and the monster trucks would get popular again.

Good find on the Video Matt :cool2: ,

they use funky hubs that act like torque multipliers, with some planetaries in them and some other stuff , pretty cool how they work actually , cant remember where i found the info , i was reading about them a few years back on the web .

And i secound that if they were still doing all that stuff with monster trucks they did then i would def be a fan ,I do love watching the world finals in Vegas though !

Cool video...It might actually be worth it to go see them if they still did all that stuff (other than crush cars) The hill climbs and mud bogs would be cool to see in person

The diesel truck "king kong" uses a 600 cubic inch continental multi fuel out of a duece and a half i believe. Claims like 600 hp and 690 ft lbs. Wish i could find more videos of it rolling coal...

I love the vintage monster trucks. It's cool to see the old Bigfoot and Grave Digger trucks. It's funny how much the trucks bounced around back then. Cool video :thumb:

When I was little my dad use take us to alot of NTPA tractor pulls and King Kong was the side show there. In the late 70's going over cars was a very big deal, it it nothing like it is now. They use to go real slow then when on top of the cars they would get out and wave at the crowd then get back in and drive down and that was the end of the show. Everyone loved it including me.

I remember the tractor pulls we pulled in around 1982 or 83 in texas they had the old monster trucks pull sleds and climb up on 2 cars and get out and wave and then drive off. There was even a giant three wheeler monster from the texas valley. That was the good ole days

I saw them in the late 80's at the Meadowlands in NJ. There's an old "B" movie "Take This Job and Shove It! It has the original Big Foot in a plain blue paint job. It put lifted trucks on the map.

The original Big Foot was hardly lifted it was just in the last diesel power mag.
