Monitoring live data via laptop?

Is there a way to use the Scan and Tune dashboard/data in live mode? I read that control M would do this but my software has an error saying "This option isn't available yet!". I have an Autocal by the way. I tried to search for awhile but came up with nothing. I have figured out how to data log via my Autocal but live data would be nice.

Like this, just as dangerous as texting and driving, drove the truck around the block a few times and have not used it for over a year. Logging and playing back the log is much safer...

I have no intention on driving while looking at the screen. I will have someone else drive while I mess around with it.

I've use my laptop all the time before but setup my V2 as a stand alone so I could just use that as opposed to a computer. Alot easier to keep the front seats clean. I've not had any issues from the cops either, but I'm south of town 20 minutes and along do it on the smaller county roads.

Typed all this and realised you've got an Autocal, my bad, oops:(. I don't know if you can with an Autocal. If you're wanting to do live data, you're welcome to come down here and use mine.

The AutoCal will work the same way as a v2. Plug it into the truck and laptop, launch your scan tool, select the correct log, ecm and connect. Works well.

I have been wanting to come check out your shop! I'm saving money for some more truck goodies.

Just saw you said 'scan and tune'. No, you need scan tool, it's part of 7.5. Download it then you can see live data.

Thanks! That's the info I was after. In a couple hours I am going to try it out.

I'm glad someone smarter than me about EFI live was able to give you the correct answer.

I'm installing a dual cp3 kit on a friends LMM today and the doors always open visitors if you want to swing by.

I had to go "fix" a Dodge Caravan. The only way that I could have fixed it 100% is with C4. Figuring out the EFI live is going to be an on going thing for me. I finally got real time data figured out and now I am messing with which custom PIDs I want to monitor. Its pretty fun!

Yeah, I think it's just going to take some time to learn all of the features and how to use them. I wish I knew more about the motor side of things so I could make some tunes. However, if I tried that now I would probably blow something up!

Do you ever do any data logging? I know you do a lot with turbos and pretty much everything else.

If you mess with the time calculator and make small changes that's the best way to start. As long as you don't ramp timing up to 40 deg you should be fine!!! Haha

I've done a TON of data logging when I did/do all the testing. That way I can see all the parameters and compare.

Its not availible in v8 yet. You have to do it in v7.5 to be able to watch live data.
