Molnar Con Rods at PRI

Interesting, I wonder what the specs are on those? Wonder if Mr Molnar would be open to releasing any info?
Will be nice to have yet another option, but in the end....does it do anything to help reduce the costs to build these engines??
Edit: I was doing some reputation searching online about this company, and found that the owner used to be a key designer/engineer for Oliver Rods, left and started K1 Technologies rod company (since bought by Carillo), and now has this company. Right here in Kentwood, MI.

Carrillo are the bee's knees why sell a rod of very similar price? I'm not understanding it at all.

I agree. It has to work and be a real savings or there not going to sell. Howard's would be a good example. They are my favorite of the brands but priced there self to high to take the market.

We can't complain about a shortage of rod companies anymore. Oliver, Howard's, Carrillo, Crower, Brian Crower, Manley, R&R, Wagler, and molinar all make a capable duramax rod. The cost will always be where it is right now because of the smaller market.
Is it just me, or do these rods look just like the ones posted in the thread below? Wonder if Molnar is just buying the Chinese rods and labeling them with there name...... Makes a guy wonder now!!!

I thought they looked similar as well. Seems we might get an influx of new rod "manufacturers" now...
I'm going to say I do not believe they are the same. These had genuine ARP bolts for one. And the wrist pin bushing looks to have a better finish.
They could be buying the china rods for $450 and put ARP rod bolts in for another $200 and sell for $2800! Still a very nice profit!!! Sorry I'm just really skeptical after seeing those Carrillo Chinese knock offs. I think we will be seeing alot of new people offering Duramax rods!

I mean they look similar, but they also look exactly like Carrillos minus the name etched into the side.

Still, glad to see Carrillo a step ahead of new competition. Has anyone seen or heard of their new prototype rods? They are a heavier duty version of their already very popular Rods
