K so i have dual cp3s and losing rail running a ii modded pump on the valley and my old stocker (240k miles) im going to get a new lbz pump for the one up top see if that helps me out or should i ditch the II pump?

With all the pump failures it makes me nervous keeping one paint just lost his wicked pump...then you have all people claiming to have problems with II for my hp goals im sure without a doubt two stock lb7 or lbz pumps would be fine and have longevity i want as i drive 20k miles a year so cant afford pumps going out. Anyone running a wicked pump for alot if miles with no issues? What do you guys think?

I'd replace the old stocker with a new LBZ. You should have enough fuel if both are in good shape.

ya im just nervous bout losing the II

I run two stock lb7 pumps fwiw

Ya i know two good stock pumps will support 900-1000 easy which is why i may go that route as for now 800 is probably high as i will go......for now:D

I would put Lbz in valley and ii on top...easier to replace when it goes out:thumb:

This is a X10 recommendation for daily drivers, always put the modded pump where its easy to get to. I know its a bit more work but should be worth it in the long run.

i would do this as well jake if your that worried. its a lot of work at first but its a hell of alot easier to get to that pump on top than it is on the bottom. Not to mention, if your still not holding rail, you know its that II pump and can easily change it now (assuming its the pumps that are the issue).

I believe the pumps are cause itll go to max if i unplug the reg but won't stay up when i go wot. And switching the valley pump isnt very hard at all so only takes bout 45-hour extra so ill probably go that route new pump in the valley and then move the modded pump out in the open

After talking to Shane (Wicked diesels)on the phone last week about mod pumps, i would prob only go with one of his. Call and talk to him, at least to educate yourself about them. Like the others said, put the stock one in the valley though.

Just had to decide between modded and dual stockers for our pulling truck, so i called shane and am glad i did.:thumb:

I ran a WD pump for 3 years didn't have 15,000 miles on it. Mine failed... I would not ever recommend a modded pump in the stock location if the truck is a DD

I ran two stock LBZ CP3s on my truck when I had the built motor. One was the original from the truck, 60k miles, and the other was an unknown used pump I bought on eBay for $300. I was able to hold 29k+ PSI while running very low 11s.

I agree with everyone saying put the new stock pump in the valley and the modded pump in the dual spot.
