Hi guys, i own a 2003 cc/sb lb7. I have all the supporting mods, trans, lift pump, intake. Any who, i store my truck when winter time arrives in upstate ny, last November i parked my truck and i just got it going this weekend. I sent out my stocker to have some work done on it and my luck hit the floor and found out that usps lost my turbo in the mail. Mpsoldier contacted me and stated he could help me out about 4 months ago, in the mean time he ran into some trouble with the work he does on turbos so it was a really long wait. I contacted Pete every week, probably was annoying but i think he understood where i was coming from. Any ways i finally recieved a turbo from him and he really helped me out on the price, my missing core and through in a free ported intake horn too boot. Great guy and i recommend anyone who wants some work done to there turbo to go through him.
turbo review, first received the turbo, the up-pipe bores were opened right up, porting work is top notch and the wheel was a redesigned wheel, lol i didnt realize the ett stuff extruded out of the inducer as much as it does. Review, i installed a ported intake horn, sdp down pipe and the turbo. First thing i noticed was the whistle and how much less smokey my tunes are from kory. Cleaned up every bit of smoke i had on my big tune once i got the turbo to build the correct amount of boost. The turbo may spool just a tad bit slower, when i mean tad i mean you can barely notice it. The only real difference i did feel with spool was just driving easy on a descent sized tune to say accelerate up to 60 it does get a little hotter then normal. say before the modded ihi they would hover 600-700, now they are 800-900 but when the converter locks it drops right down too 550-600 cruising. I am pushing 35-38 pounds on it and the truck just sounds so much better, smoother and the power doesnt really drop off any more. Egts are way more manageable also, on my big tune before i could tip 1800 degrees, now i can just creep past 1500. I recommend anyone to get one of these turbos if they still use there truck as a truck but want to rebuild/ update their stock turbo. This thing literally sounds like you are taking off in a plane when the turbo lights up. I love it!!!!!!
