Has anyone ever have a draw straw come apart in the tank? I pulled the pump off and nothing is inside it and it can pull fuel through it not sure if I should try and pull the line and flush it...

Try this since you have the pump off. If you dont already own them go to any good parts house and purchase the quick-disconnect fuel line set. Then dis-connect the main feed line right behind the fuel cooler attach a hose to it and the mitusa hook up your drill start priming if the draw straw is the issue you'll def know it being that close to the tank if you get no fuel. If you find out the draw straw is the culprit order a pickup kit form ppe, alligator perf, or use a hellmann sump on the bottom of the tank I pefer the draw straw that way I dont have to worry about the line getting cut or ripped by debris on the road and losing fuel. keep us updated

So I'm priming my truck and its taking to long so a say to my self put your hand down by the cp3 and see if fuel its leaking out down there. Sure enough the two bolts that hold the damn thing in are just siting in the valley. So looks like I will be pulling that now. Get to find out if there is another Wicked Diesel pump failure.

Merry Christmas everyone

Ok just to up date this thread.

Mitusa didn't fail
WD cp3 didn't fail
The small low pressure line that runs across the valley had a hole in it and was part of the reason truck died. That and the Mitusa came off the belt.

So truck is good again. :woott:
