Anyone ever seen the main caps be crooked on one side about an 1/8” or so on a stock engine? I don’t have any pics but just curious how common it is.

I meant 1/16” or less don’t know why I put 1/8”, bout the thickness of a set of head gaskets stacked, no. 2 main, no fire.
cant say ive seen a factory one that way but ive heard and seen higher HP rigs have issues as that is why they put dowels in every main. cap turned 180* by chance?
Just on one side, pointing towards the back of the engine, cap was never off, found it on disassembly.
Machined wrong probably. It would be wedged in the block hard enough I don't think it would come out easily.
Kind of what I figured, crank turned too easy and no heat marks. Build date 8/07.
Mine is the same way, 2nd main also i do believe. Noticed it, didnt worry me to much seeing as clearances were good and crank turned fine.
