As I’m sure many of you are aware, aftermarket tow mirrors on the cat eye/classic trucks have a rather drastic angle to them; giving your truck wings. We all know about the washer mod, which levels the mirrors out.
However, I wasn’t satisfied with the way the mirrors shook afterwards as a result of the lateral play to the vertical shaft of the mirror. So together with my father (also on the forum) we made a shim out of some 1 5/8” pvc hose to take the slop out of the mirror when you shut the door or went over a bump. Photos attached.
