Just a quick note regarding Mike L's tranny cooler. Got back this week from Havasu/Parker AZ (Extended July 4th celebration) Towing in 110 + temps, tranny temps stayed between 175 and 180. That was towing my boat and truck loaded. Even climbing up Chiriaco pass temps stayed constant. Before the upgrade my tranny temps would be around 200/205....Mike's cooler worked better than expected. Highly recommended upgrade:thumb:

I saw the same thing when I installed mine, never broke 180 while towing my travel trailer up grades in 90+ degree heat (hit over 200+ prior).

Big thanks to Mike for making good performance so easy! :D

I was wanting to know how these SETRAB coolers do as far as flow and restriction? I don't think I have room in the BURB for one of Mike's kits, so I installed a B&M 8X11 super cooler on my BURB. It droppped the temps a little bit, but what I found is it flows to much oil and only uses about the bottom inch and half of the cooler. Trans temps can be 180, but I can go out and touch the top of the cooler with my hand and it will be bearly noticeably warm whereas the bottom will be hot. I'm going to try and build a stand pipe to go in my cooler return fitting to try and allow it to use more of the cooler, but was curious how the SETRAB coolers do for restricting the flow and actually using the cooler.

The Setrab is a very low restriction cooler. The problem with the B&M is not that it flows too much but that it doesn't flow correctly. Either it doesn't flow fluid to the top or it has a bottle neck at the bottom. The Setrab will be hot across the entire cooler. And yes you are correct that you do not have enough room to mount one properly in your burb.

I'm out of stock but will have them in next week. For some reason I can't keep them on the shelf.:D

Wow....You really went through those fast....When you installed mine a couple of months back I thought I saw (2) full pallets. Great Service and Great Products have the coolers flying off the shelf:thumb:

Any way I could get ahold of the thread size for the lines on your cooler? I want to get one for sure, but am going to make some changes to the plumbing prior to the installation.
