mike is that why i tend to see higher trans temps than others around here. it is not hard for me to hit 200+ degrees even with mid 70's ambient. been like this since day one.

If it did not run that hot before the trans upgrade then yes. There are other mods that can be done to lower temps but they have to be done in house by me.

well dam. its gunna be a tough sell to the wife for a coast to coast road trip. i towed last weds about 90 out side and the temps climbed well over 210 mark. just shy of the 3/4 mark on the gauge after one hill about a mile long. it never gets hotter than though.

Yes. The ATS main valve spring raises main line pressure, as does the shim that comes in the SC kit. The stock converter flow valve drops 100 PSI from line pressure when the TCC is active - the trans-go converter flow valve reduces that pressure drop. So the converter flow valve will not add pressure, it will just take less away when the TCC is active.

Your talking about the Regulator shim right? Looks like a small metal washer?

Which is better to use. THe shim or the spring?

It depends on what you are building the truck for, what power you are pushing, and which parts you would rather replace from time to time. The ATS spring raises pressure more than the SC shim, but on a lower power truck that has no need for that much pressure you are just causing premature wear to the pump and drum. The SC shim give you plenty of line pressure for MOST trucks. Even at very big power you then have to decide if you would rather replace clutches from time to time or if you would rather not go in the trans as often but replace hard parts like pumps and drums when you do.
