Midwest Members: interested in EFI-Live school?

Alright guys n gals,

Im not gonna let this die-off, while this is fresh in several members minds, i want to get a list going of who would be interested in a Efi-Live school.

I know the midwest is a pretty damn large area, but i think if we could get enough members signed up we could have someone locally come in, or maybe we could fly someone to the boons of the midwest

I know there are several people interested, but i would like to see what kind people would actually be willing to put up money to get a knowledgeable instructor out here and to teach us? What time frame would be the best?

The only honest way i can think of finding a central location is taking whoev er responds to this thread and finding the most central for all members. It may seem like it'd be shafting the long-hauler, but if you have 15 people that are within a 2hr trip and 1 making a 4hr trip...it kind of makes a little more sense.

Im open to any suggestions for this, but i figured this would be the next step in getting an instructor here to teach what seems like a forgotten region.

I honestly still dont know EFI worth a damn compared to most you guys on here and i need to! But then again, ive hardly used it either, kinda scared but i wanna do my own tuning as much as possible and knowing EFI better is crucial

As far as time, can prolly make room, just need to know ahead of time, Live in Eldorado/Wichita, KS but somthin Kansas City-ish might be an idea? bout 3.5 hours from here and at the states corners?

already got plans the first 10 or so days of June and July 4th weekend.

I heard there might be a class in summertime here in MI. Haven't heard a definate...

Im up for it. I attended the EFI University 2 day class last summer here in central Ohio. It was a great class, but I knew going in that it wasnt geared for diesel tuning. They have been promising a diesel class but just havent been able to get to it yet.

I would be interested as well. I am committed to Ts performance in May and Schieds in August, but I would try to make any other weekend work. One thing though, I would not attend if the class wasn't for the diesel tuners. I have no need to tune a gasser.

This would definately be for diesel rigs, as this is what id like to learn more about. Im sure some info could be crossed over for gas tuning as well.

Anyway, seems like maybe the quad cities/souther iowa/northern missouri would be most central right now...we sure do have a wide range of midwest members :rofl:


Anyone have suggestions on who we should contact to see if they would be interested in flying in to teach us? Im open to alot of ideas so feel free to post up suggestions...im an alright planner but some things i need a little help on.

I am lloking for a lesson or two and would be very interested, I live in Princeton Iowa, 15 minutes from quad cities, 2 1/2 hours from des moines and 6 from kansas city. I would be in for any of the three locations as I visit olathe ks a few times a year and 2 1/2 hours to des moines is worth it for a class. Eric

same for me as well, i was thinking mid july/mid june. They keep saying we could expect (while not as bad as last year) planting delays similar to them. Hope we dont because i have some things i'd like to get done in june rather than be in a field lol.

I would be interested if its not too far. Here in missouri seems to be a common meeting point, but i wouldnt care if i had to drive for a bit. I know a good diesel shop in st joe that we might be able to have the class at.

Lets get the ball rolling...i have no idea who's a good tuner thats well known. Have a suggestion? I'll be more than glad to handle the dirty work of organizing ANYTHING to get this rolling, c'mon fellas.

I have heard that Rob Coddens is a very good tuner, a.k.a Idaho Rob on DP. One thing I've heard is that a dmax has never been blowin apart on one of his tunes. Just a name I have heard of with efi. Hopefully other guys will voice in with a recomendation.

i hate to sound like a cheerleader but we do have one of the beta testers for efi and i would like to think a good friend of mine about 7 hrs away. if brayden had the time i am sure he would like to help all of us and is one of the nicest guys any of you could hope to meet
