Anyone know of a good machine shop in the direct midwest? I'm located in southern missouri but don't care to drive a little and drop off and pick up my engine..

Will get a line hone, cyl hone, new cam bearings, balance rotating assy and key the cam and crank.

I have a shop about 100 miles awY from my that's done a few but their main guy left and isn't there anymore. I'm not scared to use them just looking for other options.

Thanks

if your willing to drive to northern Illinois i would recommend Pfieffers Engine Specialties. Family owned small business been building engines for 40 years. they've done numerous high horsepower Duramax builds and are very familiar with them, probably a dozen at least in their shop all the time in process.

Little further than i want to drive.

You could always ask Rick Lance who he recommends, as he used to (still does?) build cars. He is up in Holden, a couple hours from you.

Never thought to ask Rick.. I'll shoot him a email tomorrow.. I'm sure there are places in the Kansas City / St Louis area I just don't know many people up there.

If I could find somewhere kc/ stl that'd be great since either is about 4 hours.
