I guess if I really want to know I can read old posts on other forums. I knew you had good luck with yours Tom.

I never wanted know the whole story behind the hate. I figure it was just "forum chatter" and what-not but the damage was done no matter if founded or not. I havent talked to E in a couple years now. After he got divorced we sorta went our separate ways.

ATS extreme trans is where it's at. Best warranty in the industry

There's a reason for that. :hehe:

There was a newbie recently on DP bragging about his ATS 5 star as the best thing, and that all their past failures were "bad luck". But then, he didnt know what "keying the crank and cam" were, thought an A5K turbo (from ATS), ATS dualfuelers and a bunch of BD parts were going to make his stock-motor LLY a reliable 11.90 index truck. I was thinking, "is this guy for real or trolling?" :hehe:

We went through 3 ats transmissions in the old single cab before George built it. What Mike says is pretty accurate. they didnt last long at all

The hate came from dissatisfied customers. I have my own personal dislike for him because he screwed me. I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire. Nuff said.

I must have missed all the drama. I still talk to Eric from time to time. He and the rest of MA have always been great to me.

He can come here and defend himself if he wishes and the shit storm will will open up. I don't think he will come near this subject, but I will welcome it.

While ATS has been mentioned... besides CO locals, who buys their stuff anymore? At one time it was kinda them or SC (or BD LOL). But it sure doesn't seem like many run their stuff anymore except some CO locals. So what do they sell to keep doors open?!?! I see some ppl run their dual cp3 kits but don't see many ppl list their turboes, trans or tuning anymore. Just wondering what they do to stay open. Or maybe its just the circles I encounter just don't & they do more business than I realize.

It's the same reason people buy cheap tunes and wonder why their truck runs like crap. There are still plenty of people out there buying a Dmax for the first time, not doing much research and believing what ATS site says at their price.

Feels like dejavu cause mike and I were just talking about this last week lmao

There are some uneducated people up here that claim they are the best because of the warranty. I told one guy what is the point if they don't pay the freight across the border? Your out the price of a set of clutches plus downtime waiting for them to send another one that probably won't make it out of the parking lot.

Don't buy purple parts!!

Pretty much what James said......I've talked to many people who still think they're the cat's meow when it comes to diesel performance. They're usually the ones that learn the hard way as to why most of the people that have been around don't run their stuff.... but I will say one thing about ATS; they. Almost always had all of their parts in stock ready to ship.

ATS, BD and the like have big colorful ads throughout Diesel Power and Diesel World magazines. Its as simple as that.

That's a given. I know I can get one from Suncoast or I'm sure I could have Evan or Mike build one and ship it to me. Still doesn't answer my question.

My cousin has a trans from Eric that was built in May 09. It has seen a lot of abuse. Truck had 472/GT55 compounds and now has a 472 single with 100s. Prob in the high 900s. Still shifts fine. Converter was replaced with a Suncoast 3 years ago. No codes. No slipping.
