Yesterday moring when I went to use the factory remote start the main mega fuse blew. I replaced it and my truck started no problem with the key. Obviously I have a short but don't know where to start looking.

What temps are you at? Maybe a grid heater or glow plugs. Also check out the alternator

No grid heater and the glow plugs are good. They are brand new acdelco glow plugs. Temps are about 32. Alternator definitely works good. I borrowed the alterantor mega fuse to restore power and start it up with the key and the voltage dropped to around 12V while idling and it said service charging system. Then I shut the truck off and borrowed the glow plug mega fuse for the alternator circuit and restarted the truck. Voltage started out and 12V and quickly climbed to 15V so I know its charging.

Anyone have an ideas where to look. Obviously there is a short in the remote start wiring but don't know where to look. I can't find any diagrams online of the remote start wiring specifically. I did switch tuners but highly doubt this is a tuning issue. I did lose my fast idle option with the new tuning which I had with the old tuner.
