How much drive pressure will the factory medium duty bellows take before they blow out? Also, where do the factory ones seem to fail at? This is good tech BTW. Thanks for sharing.

the factory manifolds don't really fail at all

Ok, thanks for the info. I asked the question because I thought that Buck ran a set of 4500 manifolds and up pipes on his truck and I would imagine that they could take quite a bit of drive pressure and heat. I could be wrong though.

Its really not worth the time and money to put in Med. Duty Up pipes. 4500 manifolds and custom up pipes coated would be the way to go.

I agrree, but not on coating 321. I will NOT stand behind any of my work that is coated 321. 321 forms a oxidation layer that helps to protect it, by coating it you prevent this oxidation and actually lower the materials heat resistance. Same with 347 and inconel, that is why these materials turn black with high heat.....you want them to turn black.

Can you still wrap the parts with either the blankets or heat wrap?

I don't see why not. The wraps aren't completely air tight correct, so it should allow the steel to oxidize still.
