I already have a garage but the concrete floor is over 30 years old--looks terrible. Any suggestions on a "do it yourself" project to cover the concrete with something? I've seen some kits on tv where you roll the floor with some type of mix then sprinkle flakes on it. Trying to save money.

If its not all cracked up, i would try that floor coating, or try lowes and see what kind of floor paint they have. That Garage coating is expensive.

My personal favorite for a shop floor is heavy linoleum tiles. 1/8" minimum. It makes it a hair "softer" on your feet, deadens sound a touch, and if you drop something, it's less likely to get burred up.

It's about $2 a sq ft all told by the time you're done, IIRC.

I've been reading into the floor covers for a good hour or so. The epoxy floor covering looks great but it may take upwards of two weeks to dry which I can't have. Plus, it may become slippery and is EXPENSIVE.

Pat, where did you find them for that price? Might be my best alternative.
