Not really... a shirt made it there and back though!?:p

75 Jamaican is $1 American, diesel fuel is 74 per litre, roughly equates to about $3 per gallon? Cheap for sure. Everything is diesel, and mostly Toyota. The truck of choice is a 2001 sized Tacoma with a 4 cyl diesel, pict attached.

The people movers are 16 seaters as long as a dodge 12 seater, though taller with auto doors and a 4 cyl-5 speed diesel that moves 12 people and all the bags smartly. Top heavy and a little sketchy when clipping alongside cliffs at speed.

Not a lick of smoke comes from any diesel i saw on the island, and i saw some held together with rust and wire...clean tunes before it was "clean tune".

We've seen most of the Island, if anybody needs advice on where to stay/go let me know. OH, best of all... way better than Hawaii, cheaper, nicer people, less people!, several all inclusive resorts that don't "cheap you".

Later:)

We've have stayed at the Couples Resort and the Couples Swept Away, both are in Negril.

Nice place, nice beaches. However, i must say it is has become more commercial in the last 5 years.

I Liked Jamaica but I would not go back again, Same with Hawaii nice place but to many tourists for my taste. If you guys liked Jamaica you would love Costa Rica, The people are great and its not overley americanized yet. Diesels are also very popular over there and the cost of living is penny's compared to the states.

HA" its always a trade off with the wives. My wife got sun poisoning when we were in Jamaica so she does not have a very fond memory of it. The costa Rica trip was just the guys 8 of us:D It was quit a experience to say the least. With or with out the wife its a great place to visit.

I have heard mixed things about Costa Rica from my dad. Mind you I have not been there but my dad has been a LOT of places in his life. He actually mentioned just the other day that Costa Rica is actually becoming less popular for a possible retiree location, as Panama is actually less expensive and less americanized.

Not that my input here really matters, the above statement I just made was based on people settling down after retirement, not a vacation destination.

Paint it black and white. Looks like Orca.:D

Who here can photoshop that up? lol

I have a buddy that lived in CR for a year and loved it.
And I have Panamanian friends that say Panama is less Americanized, but also a little more dangerous. Kidnappers and such there.
Both are beautiful from the pictures I have seen though.

Costa Rica is pretty nice, I liked the Dominican Rep. better though. Its been a few years (3 I guess) since the wife and I went to St. Lucia but that is still our favorite--hell english is their native language even!
