I sold my old tailgate to a guy on Facenuts Marketplace yesterday. I had to comment about the ludicrous rod holder on the front end of his 2500hd gasser. Turns out he bought the truck with it, and he and the wife hate it but he can’t get it off. Lmao. 5 guys tried to remove it together, after getting the bolts out. It wouldn’t budge. I had him throw it on my ramps and I had it off in seconds with a slap hammer, lol. It’s a 200lb baby elephant. I can only imagine facing the surf and reeling in a whale!

I can't say I have seen such a fugly piece of equipment. Did they say why the previous owner added it? Was it meant to be a push bar like for the guys that go to the salt flats or something?
