After 12 amazing years my little girl has passed on. I have had her since the day she was born. She has been by my side for everything and I never thought I was going to have to say goodbye. She had a personality like no on would believe. The worst part was I was traveling for work the last month so my wife and I decided that she could send some time with my grand parents so she would have the attention she deserved. I went and picked her up last night and could tell something was wrong. At first I thought she just had a bug and would just need to work through it. But then she started to not respond to her name being called and would eat or drink anything. After about two hours I could see her like this and rushed her to the Vet. It didn't look good and after spending some quality time with her my wife and I decided that it was her time to go.

We created so many great memories I will never forget and couldn't have been more blessed to own her. Give you pup's a hug and tell them that you love them because no matter what they always love you.

Im sorry for your loss. Nothing can be said to make it any easier, time helps forsure, but you never are the same. Ive had to make that decision twice. Its a very tough one. They are amazing animals and even better friends and family members. Hang in there bud.

My basset is always by my side, I love the little piss pot pisses in everything but he's a male and a basset...

I feel for you man, I've had to put down 3 dogs in 4 years it sucks I do it myself, it's kind of my good bye to them talk to them explain myself and get the job done, my old lady gets mad because I'm a bit disconnected you could say in the whole emotions department. But it definately sucks and everyone handles loss differently. Take your time and let it heal it's going to scar you but you will heal

A long time. It's been hard today after spending it at home. I couldn't do anything and not look for her. The wife and I broke down a couple of times because of what she would have been doing.
These are the hardest days my friend .....you keep expecting to see her come around the corner or bark at you for opening the door laying on the couch, next to the food dish,if you left them on the ground or even if you didn't you still check to see if she needs food or water.............its really hard but as time passes it will gradually get easier.:(

Yeah I told my wife it's going to get harder before easier. But it will get easier over time. We've made some steps forward cleaning up some of her stuff and putting it away.

We've lost four of our dogs in the past 5 years to various things spider bites, vehicle accidents, and one accidentally getting stuck between two bars and panicked and broke his own neck. Its really hard but it does get easier. Very sorry for your loss.
