Have a chance to buy a motor with broke crank for 2k with mahle race cast and manleys
I would pass. By the time you buy rings and pay to have everything inspected you are not saving a enough for risk in my opinion.
What else has been done to the engine besides the pistons and rods? Just curious what kind of "deal" this'll turn out to be.
Was a full built engine and the crank broke. Danville disassembled from what I was told. Waiting on a response from mark before I do anything
"Full built" can mean different things to different people, that's why I asked. I hope it turns out a bargain for you.
Dts street cam, checked decked heads, clevite bearing, billet flex plate. Arp rods mains head studs, keyed crank. The usual mild hp build
Bottom line I didn't ask advice about the engine or it was a good build. I'm buying parts and I asked about the rods!
Geezus, sorry for asking. As long as the parts have been checked out ok, then have at it. Not sure if anyone has pushed the Manley rods as hard as Carillos though, so I don't think it's general knowledge what their ceiling is yet.

Rings are only like 325 bucks, that's a deal I would buy it. Manely has good rods in a lot of engines not many in duramax but I deff buy them
